Gerbera blooms spreading its petals like the morning sun; bright and cheerful. Its range of colours; white, yellow, orange, red and pink amaze bees, butterflies and birds with its unavoidable beauty. Gerbera is a tender perennial plant & native to South America, Africa & Asia.


It’s popular plant used as decorative garden plant and as a cut flower for decorations, bouquets  and dried. Gerbera is a also important commercially and is the fifth most used cut flower in the world after rose. Carnation, tulip and chrysanthemum.

Gerbera is best growing in the sun and sandy soil. It’s relatively easy to grow in outdoors than indoor. Growing gerbera is tricky where as it requires bright light and moderate temperature. 

It’s too common to plant gerbera on the stool of the window in pots. If it placed in indirect light it requires light all the day may be require artificial lighting if you place it where you do not get an adequate light it will not bloom. Also the bright light with the heat in the noon is not healthy for the plant but the bright sun in the morning would do.
